natureOffice begins with a full audit of the printer's carbon footprint. We design an action plan for decreasing energy, water and raw materials use, as well as reducing shipping, waste, and carbon dioxide and greenhouse gas emissions. Printers purchase certified carbon credits, including renewable energy sources with no emissions, to mitigate processes that cannot integrate sustainable practices. When a printer completes the natureOffice program, they are qualified as a 100 percent carbon neutral print shop.

What is carbon neutral printing?

Carbon neutral printing means that all greenhouse gas emissions resulting from the print production itself and the used materials (paper, energy, ink, etc.) are calculated and compensated through carbon offset projects.

Labeling
Is is then possbile to put the "carbon neutral print product" logo onto the print object, including an individual tracking number. The logo is available in many languages and layout variants.

Costs for the client
The additional costs that a client has to pay for carbon neutrality ranges from about 0.5 and 1.5% of the total contract value. These costs are charged on a monthly basis.

Tracking number
Each and every print product receives a unique tracking number, generated automatically by our system. Using this number, everyone can track the amount of compensated greenhouse gas and the carbon offset project.

How can I offer carbon neutral print products?

You will receive a detailed proposal form us. After placing the order, we will start to aquire the relevant material and figures for your company. Collecting all the data is neccessary to calculate the carbon footpring and the individual formula. You will then be able to use our "natureBalance" system to calulate and book a carbon neutral print job, download the logo instantly and print-out a client certificate. The "carbon neutral" logo is placed into the layout by you or by the clients creative agency.

Calculating the emissions with our tool does not take longer than one minute! Keeping an overview 

natureBalance guarantees a great overview of all active and archived projects. You are able to add a client specific number to the job, you can browse monthly reports and you can see the amount of booked offset projects per client.
